About the Artist

Bill was born in Washington, D.C., and discovered his love for painting at St. Albans School in D.C. He continued with undergraduate studies at Rollins College, the University of Arizona and the Universitry of Maryland. As with many of us, our passions often must take back seat to careers and family, but Bill was able to rekindle his passion for painting after relocating to Bigfork, Montana in 1996, concentrating on western subjects and wildlife.
The artist's mission is to simplify the subject by utilizing broad strokes, basic colors and varied techniques of application while allowing the subject to " paint itself " - to let it go where the mood takes it.
